William Shakespeare
Imagine yourself in a European villa. Relax in an air bubble
massage tub for two while gazing out into a vineyard mural.
Antique French doors welcome guests to spa bath with a travertine
and ceramic tiled shower and a vintage granite and chrome claw foot
sinks. Exquisite period ceiling fixtures and candle sconces
add romance and ambiance to this suite. There is a gas
fireplace to curl up by and a king size cherry sleigh bed with luxurious
bedding in rich golds and burgundys. An early curved double-mirrored
armoire and cherry dresser are but a view of the appointed pieces
in the suite. An original 1888 picture of a couple from one
of Shakespeare’s plays adorns the suite. An attached porch
overlooking a 1917 fountain and downtown Hartford is a great place

the 1917 fountain and gardens. Experience nature from the attached
porch inside or outside. Vintage lightening adds a glow of romance
and peacefulness to your nights stay. Antique French doors open
to the original master bath of the mansion. A spacious soak

William Wordsworth Longfellow
This English cottage suite wraps you in a soft restful mix of yellows,
greens, and peach colors. Its unique Christian shaped bookshelves
are lined with keepsakes and vintage books. Antique furniture
and a crystal chandelier create a sense of romance. The French
paneled porch windows (found in the cellar) have been restored and
reinstalled giving an enchanting feel to the attached sunroom.
Enjoy a relaxing bath for two in an air bubble massage tub surrounded
by a daffodil mural depicting “Dancing with Daffodils”
poem written by William Wordsworth Longfellow. A French paneled
window door invites you into a ceramic tiled bathroom with a shower
and vintage chrome legged porcelain sink. A hand carved mirror,
vintage light fixture and a unique “smoker’s” cabined
complete the bathroom. The English garden, the adjoining park

This elegant suite originally the “servants quarters”
boosts richness and coziness all of which servants in the early 1900’s
did not enjoy. The dormered coves, ceilings and the architecture
adds an enchanting feel to the space. Warm and relaxing colors
of taupe, gold, bronze and antique brass can be seen throughout.
Comfortable wool rugs, elegant bedding and vintage 1800’s Iron
queen size bed are just a few on the luxuries in this room.
French doors add a graceful welcome to this suite. A beautiful
antique wardrobe with oval shape beveled mirrors, reflect a peaceful
space and a tin infant tub, used by the innkeepers father, sits on
