The Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts, located just east of historic downtown Cedarburg, Wisconsin, is dedicated to educating the public about the artistic, cultural, historic and social importance of quilts and fibers arts. We also seek to increase the awareness of historic structure preservation. Our repurposed1850s farmstead is used to: * Foster and inspire creativity by hosting exhibits of artists from traditional to contemporary techniques; * Educate children and adults, from beginners to experienced fiber artists, in the time-honored crafts; * Preserve quilts and other fiber arts items, maintaining our own collection and encouraging others to document their treasures. * Maintain a library for researchers interested in exploring how quilts and other fiber arts have changed over time.

The Old Courthouse Museum is a superb example of Richardson Romanesque Revival architecture. Built in 1889, it served as the county courthouse until 1962. The interior of the building was remodeled to house Social Services and other County offices. In the early 1990’s all of the County offices moved to their new location putting the future of the Old Courthouse in jeopardy. The Historical Society, local citizens and members of the Washington County Board rallied together to not only save the building, but renovate it back to its original beauty. The beautifully restored Old Courthouse Museum houses the offices of the Washington County Historical Society and features exhibits that tell the story of Washington County from the glaciers to the industrial age. Just across from Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, the Wollersheim Winery sits on a scenic hillside overlooking the Wisconsin River. There are 27 acres of planted vineyards on the Wollersheim estate at Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. Most of the acreage is devoted to winter hardy French-American hybrids and some other experimental varieties. Our main grape is called Marechal Foch. It is a very reliable and versatile variety.

The Piper J3 75th Anniversary Event...... July 20-22, 2012 Cub Air was founded in 2006 by Steve Krog, who has been a flight instructor for over 35 years. Krog, a former marketing executive, sold his share of a marketing firm to pursue his lifelong dream of teaching people to fly. His flight school uses vintage Piper J-3 Cub aircraft to instruct in, following a philosophy that “old school is still cool.” Krog believes that these fine classic airplanes make better pilots by requiring more attention and flying skill than newer airplanes. He holds that flying a vintage airplane is as much an art as it is a science.

Unique among historic sites, Ten Chimneys offers guests a virtually barrier-free tour of an estate replete with original furnishings and overflowing with the romance of the Golden Age of Theatre. The Hartford Municipal Airport (HXF) is located 33 miles northwest of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at 4200 County Hwy. U, Hartford. There is one 3,000-foot hard-surface runway and one 2,250-foot sod runway. It has a self-serve fuel system which accepts all major credit cards and offers 100 Low Lead and 93 Octane fuel. There is a City Taxi service available by contacting (262) 673-8223 and there are several restaurants located within 3 miles of the airport. The airport is a ½ hour flight from Oshkosh, Wisconsin ( EAA Air Venture).

The Watertown Municipal Airport was commissioned in 1945 and has grown from two short grass strips, a few buildings, and seven aircraft to a modern facility. Currently, the airport is called home by over 90 aircraft owners. The facility has three non-precision approaches.

Home of the US Open in 2017 Long before the first foursome played Erin Hills, nature sported here. As the Ice Age receded 10,000 years ago, rivers of water from the melting glaciers carved out the rough contours of the land. A rolling hill here, a broad plain there, it is as if the terrain was destined to become a championship golf course. Inspired by the classic Scottish and Irish courses that were once built by horse-drawn plows, Erin Hills has been created in harmony with the land. Centuries of farming kept the land in its pristine condition, and comparatively little human intervention was required. Its architects—Mike Hurdzan, Dana Fry and Ron Whitten, found the best eighteen holes and linked them together. Construction began in 2004 and the first round was played in 2006.

Kettle Hills is located in Richfield, 20 miles north of downtown Milwaukee, about 1.5 miles west of Highway 41/45 on Highway 167 West. Forty-five holes here designed by Don Zimmerman, rolling hills, parkland style of course with tree lined heavy fairways in a nice secluded setting with not much in the way of homes in play, mostly natural surroundings. You will find your share of hills and ponds and woods to get into trouble, but for the most part the course is gentle and rewarding, and usually in nice shape.
